Hand-crafted stitch by stitch
As opposed to a machine-made seam the so-called handmade or saddler’s seam only requires one single thread which is manually drawn from one side to the other with two needles alternately.
In this way an extraordinarily even stitch pattern is achieved. It takes approximately 40 minutes to produce such a seam which gives the watch strap a higher longevity as compared to a machine-made seam. Completing an accurate handmade seam demands great skill of a master leather craftsman and thus represents a piece of finest craftsmanship.
